Chart notes
AIN'T NO DISCO prompted the pace four wide, took over three wide leaving the eighth pole, kicked clear in upper stretch and held clear under a drive. GOSGER hit the starting gate and was well last early, advanced three wide around the turn and finished willingly to be clearly second best. GALANTINI raced well back two wide, angled four wide in upper stretch and was along for the show. COMMENDATORE set a pressured pace along the rail and tired in the stretch. MAJORCA prompted the pace three wide and faded after a half. MR. BINKS had only brief speed two wide. EMINENT POWER was outrun while racing four wide.
