Chart notes

FROST ALERT chased six wide outside rivals into the first turn, cut down to the two path around the bend, had to pause on the heels of the leader past the three-quarter pole, took over past the half-mile marker, led clear through the far turn, drifted out in upper stretch while being confronted by ABADON, maintained a short lead into the final sixteenth over that rival, then held off the late charge from GRANADA FLAVOR to the inside in the final moments. GRANADA FLAVOR broke a step slow, trailed two wide then along the rail on the clubhouse turn, chased two wide into the second bend then between rivals at the five-sixteenths pole, rallied inside FROST ALERT in deep stretch and missed. ABADON dueled inside a rival in the three path on the first turn then inched ahead to showed the way under pressure, lost command past the half-mile pole, chased three wide into the far turn, drifted out to the five path around that bend, re-bid in upper stretch but lacked the needed late punch in the final furlong. TOM AND JAZZY raced up close in the five path outside the leaders on the first turn, put in a mild bid four deep on the backstretch, could not sustain the challenge and chased wide through the second bend as well and weakened down the lane. SEATTLE BREAKOUT dueled from outside in the four path early, fought outside the leader then three deep at the halfway point, chased four then three wide on the far turn and weakened. TAHOE SECRETS settled along the inside, moved closer into the backstretch, ridden along the rail through the far turn and weakened in the drive. DUE TO A TIMER MALFUNCTION THE THREE-QUARTER FRACTION WAS HAND-TIMED.
