Chart notes
CINCO DE MO well placed and outside, gained a striking position three and four wide through the turn, bid four wide into the stretch, made a steady gain and drew off late. SOLOMONS GOLD rushed up and tracked the pace to the turn, angled out and moved to a striking position three wide through the turn, bid on that path into the stretch, then edged back up for the place inside. JOHN'S PROMISE unhurried, moved up inside through the turn, came through inside of rival into the stretch, edged up to the leader, then lacked the needed late kick and settled for the show. LUCCI sent from the gate, set the pace inside, stayed on when challenged into the stretch, then weakened late and held a share. CHROMED IMPULSE vied for the early lead on the outside, lost some position on the two path through the turn, then faded into the stretch. SOVEREIGN OF SPEED was never involved.
