Chart notes
DOLCE FORTUNA had a slow start to begin, improved on the rail to be in mid-pack down the backside, settled in hand on the fence in the second flight waiting to move throughout the turn, moved in to loom menacingly five wide at the top of the lane and relentlessly wore down a stubborn leader in the shadow of the wire for the victory. WILD RED battled outside three deep in the early going, edged away midturn outside taking a clear lead, shifted to the three path turning for home, was headed outside in upper stretch, put away the initial foe by the furlong pole and fought on stubbornly inside to the finish but gave way grudgingly in the final few jumps. RHAENYRA travelled four deep watching the lead trio along the back straight, travelled in the second tier outside measuring the lead duo around the turn, closed in to bid four wide at the top of the stretch, could not go with the top two while between rivals at the sixteenth pole and finished up well enough to be a clear but non-threatening third in the end. CALL ME KAYKAY had a stalking role outside ahead of one runner down the backside, mounted a rally four wide around horses three eighths from the wire, continued to keep coming through the turn outside and finished up willingly in the final furlong to get up being a fringe player at the wire. CHEAT THE DEVIL was away slowly to trail after the break, made a mild move passing some rivals inside on the rail at the three furlong pole, inched up taking the short way around the turn, skimmed the fence to be in with a chance for a small share in upper stretch but stalled just inside the furlong pole. TALBOT HEIRLOOM bobbed heads for the lead inside down the backstretch, was scrubbed on the fence trying to stay relevant up top midway around the bend, could not continue on in upper stretch and faltered two wide between foes at the furlong marker. ANELA KAI vied between challengers in the early going, dropped back from the mix up top by the half mile marker, backed away between runners through the turn in the two path and emptied out at the top of the stretch. CHERVONARUTA settled in midfield between rivals along the backside, was shuffled back when checked slightly at the seven sixteenths pole behind horses, made little impression around the turn with rivals on either side and failed to menace in the stretch running.
