Chart notes
FIREBALLIN was off slow and spotted the front several lengths, moved up then settled off the pace, was roused late on the backstretch, moved from the rail to the three path on the turn, was driven into the four path into upper stretch then rallied on the outside, closed strongly to get the lead outside the sixteenth-pole and proved best under good handling. ROOFER followed the solo leader on the outside, brushed with a rival while moving closer late on the backstretch then made a bid, vied in the three path on the turn, took a short lead at the quarter-pole, led under a drive into the final furlong then was overtaken while clear for the place. VOLATILE SITUATION was coaxed along off the pace, moved closer late on the backstretch then made a bid, vied between horses in the two path on the turn, battled under a drive into the final furlong and weakened while clear for the show. ASSET MANAGEMENT tossed his head at the start but broke with the field, was urged along off the pace, rounded the turn in the two path, moved out near the furlong marker and lacked the needed response. DEAR CHAIRMAN broke out some at the start, was urged along on the outside, brushed with an opponent late on the backstretch, chased in the four then three path on the turn and tired. BANK EMPIRE drifted out early while going to the front, showed the way with a clear advantage, was challenged near the seven-sixteenths pole, vied inside on the turn, lost the advantage at the quarter-pole and gave way. REVIVALISM climbed into kickback early, moved on the outside under urging midway down the backstretch, brushed with a foe near the half-mile pole, chased in the four to five path on the turn and capitulated. KLIMT MASTER was urged along at the rear, moved from the rail to the two path on the turn and was no factor.
