Chart notes
SHEA BRENNAN brushed while fighting for the lead between rivals early on the clubhouse turn, battled with rivals on both sides up the backstretch and far turn, carried a short lead into the lane, drifted in a bit midstretch, dug in gamely the last sixteenth and lasted over the runner-up. I'M A BAD BOY raced up close five then four wide around the first turn, went four deep into the second bend, spun five wide into the lane, rallied and put a head in front of SHEA BRENNAN at the sixteenth pole but got nailed at the wire. R HEISMAN stalked three then two wide around the first turn, drew closer on the backstretch, lost ground two then three wide on the far turn, angled out in upper stretch, rallied into contention but got outkicked by the top pair. WHISKYGINANDBRANDY chased six then five wide early, tugged forward in the middle stages, chased three deep into the far turn, quickly moved into the two path, altered in a bit approaching the eighth pole and finished willingly for a minor award. GOT'M COT'M brushed while vying for the lead three deep early on the clubhouse turn, continued outside rivals up the backstretch and far turn, battled into the final furlong, then weakened in the last sixteenth. HARDTOBEBETTERNOW raced five, four, then three wide around the first turn at the back, moved into range on the backstretch, ridden three then four wide on the second bend and flattened in the final furlong. CALL ME SIR bumped leaving the gate, unhurried in the opening stages five then four wide, stayed off the rail and chased four wide into the drive, tipped out at the top of the lane and failed to menace. VALENTINES CANDY fought inside a pair of rivals to the top of the lane, yielded in upper stretch and weakened. THE GYPSY COWBOY washy loading into the gate, broke out and bumped CALL ME SIR, tucked inside at the back, advanced around the first turn, drew closer up the backstretch, coaxed along into the far turn, dropped back to last around that bend, eased in the lane and walked off. THE RIDER OF WHISKYGINANDBRANDY LODGED AN OBJECTION AGAINST SHEA BRENNAN FOR ALLEGED INTERFERENCE MIDSTRETCH. FOLLOWING A REVIEW, THE STEWARDS RULED THAT THE VIDEO DID NOT SUBSTANTIATE THE RIDER'S CLAIM OF FOUL AND THERE WOULD BE NO CHANGE.
