PARLAY dueled between horses up the backstretch, navigated the bend from the two path and dug in in the lane, getting caught in the final jump to just miss. PERFECT DATE bumped with the horse to his outside at the start, recovered to track the leaders on the outside up the backstretch, began to move up while racing in the four path around the bend, switched outside in upper stretch and improved position while drifting mildly in the final furlong.
