AMERICAN HOPE rated at the rear along the inside, remained in hand turning for home, tipped two wide while building momentum entering the lane, surged three wide and between horses at the furlong grounds, rallied to bid outside of the new leader in teh final sixteenth and was up in time. SAND PIPES saved ground off of the pace, searched to tip outwardly momentarily in upper stretch before altering course back to the rail at the three sixteenths pole, rallied inside of rivals into the final furlong, bid outside of the leader at the sixteenth pole, led leaving that station but met an outer challenge in the late stages and got nailed. NEWS AT NINE showed the way as an outer rival applied pressure, shook free of that one in midstretch, but was collared by an outer bidder while flopping back to his left lead entering the final sixteenth, yielded and lasted for show. CURLIN'S GESTURE pursued from midpack along the inside, then in the two path turning for home, tipped out to the four path in upper stretch, ran on after getting outkicked by an inner rival at the furlong grounds and needed more to bid for show. UNLEASH THE POWER pressed two wide, sustained pressure in the three path in upper stretch, but yielded at the furlong grounds and faded between horses. MAN ON ATTACK bumped with an inner rival at the start, stalked along the inside, chased in the two path in upper stretch and faded between horses at the furlong grounds. FIRST PLAYER bobbled at the start, lacked speed in the two to four path, fanned out to the seven path in upper stretch and moved up. COIN MINER was off slow, raced off of the pace in the three path and failed to factor. BOLT FROM ABOVE broke slowly and shied from a rider-dislodging outer foe at the start, raced well back early on, pulled forward in the four path into and leaving the first turn, achieved midpack at the nine sixteenths pole, chased in the three path around the far turn, moved to the six path in upper stretch and tired. KARLWITHANARL pursued from midpack in the three path and between horses, chased around the far turn, drifted out to the five path entering the lane and faded. ORLEANS TOURIST was briefly fractious after loading, tracked in the four path, but weakened while floating wider nearing the lane. DEVILSGOTACAUSE bumped with an outer rival at the start, stumbled and lost his rider in the aftermath, then walked off. A STEWARDS' INQUIRY REVIEWING THE START RESULTED IN NO CHANGE TO THE ORIGINAL ORDER OF FINISH.
