Chart notes
SOUND DOCTRINE broke on top, dueled up the backstretch closest to but not on the rail, continued to hold a narrow lead into the stretch, was still hooked up with the runner up to that one's inside with a furlong to run, kicked clear late. K CROWN dueled up front outside the winner for five furlong, proved no match late, held sway for the second spot. LEAGUE OF LEGENDS void of speed, continued back through most of the turn, came six wide for the stretch, rallied midtrack for the show, too late for the second spot. POWERFUL in the second flight while between horses, lost contact with the top two into the stretch, not enough for the show late. HUSKER BUTCH in the second group well off the inside, four to five wide out of the turn, lacked closing punch. SUTHERLAND lacked early speed, three wide into the stretch, improved with some mild late interest, not a serious threat. WESTERN COMMAND made little impact while racing just off the inside. J J'S RANGER fell back in mid pack and turned in an even effort three wide. BOAT SONG off a step slow, moved up to a forward position outside, five to four wide through the turn, backed up in the drive. GOOD LIKE MAGIC behind the pace inside, retreated steadily down the lane. WET AND WILD forwardly placed early along the rail, shuffled back late backstretch, dropped back to trail.
