P MONEY vied for the early lead in the three path, dropped inside nearing the turn, slipped through along the rail to make the lead nearing the quarter pole, set the balance of the pace under strong pressure and proved best under right handed urging while fully extended along the rail. EXCITEMENT set a pressured pace in the two path into the turn, gave up a narrow lead before a half, dug in determinedly to match strides with the winner the balance of the trip and finished a game second. LAST COOKIE trailed into the stretch, dropped to the rail nearing the furlong marker while closing in, altered course three wide nearing the sixteenth pole and was steadily gaining ground on the top pair in the final stages. BLUE MAX offered a mild bid three wide midway on the turn then leveled off. RED HEAD KID with the second flight past the quarter pole, faded in the stretch. CLASS ACTOR pressed the early pace two then three wide and was through after a half.
