Chart notes
C V SHACKLES broke outward crowding rivals at the start, raced in a tracking position down the backside, angled out five wide while rallying leaving the quarter pole, shied away from the runner-up in upper stretch, straightened away and prevailed in a determined drive. REIGNING DREAM was rank early while just off the leaders through the first turn, settled to stalk down the backside, made an early bid into the turn, could not get by the pacesseter while in a drive on the bend, ducked out turning for home, straightened away finding his best stride to finish willingly. ORFANO refused to load, delaying the start several minutes, was crowded by inside rival leaving the gate, raced in mid-pack most of the way and mounted a grinding rally in the lane to take the show on a rough day. IRONCLAD ALIBI herded out away from the gate, settled near the rear of the field, circled eight wide with a rally turning for home and showed late interest to be gaining down the lane. SHAKE THE FROST pressed the pace from three wide for the first half mile, took command on the far turn, dug-in turning for home and came up empty in the final sixteenth. DOUBLE AGENT trailed for the first half, was still considerably out of the running to the final bend and made up some ground with a non-impactful late rally. PLAYING FOR KEEPS set a pressured pace for a half and was through early. PRESSLEY RIDGE was outrun.
