Chart notes
MR. WALLBANGER raced in the middle of the pack from two wide around the first turn then steadily advanced from three wide, shifted to the inside near the eight pole to inherit the lead and drew off. FEATHER LAINE was allowed to settle in the middle of the pack while saving ground around the first turn then steadily advanced from two wide through the final turn and finished with a strong kick to be second best. KEEP UP THE PACE trailed the field to the final turn then launched a four wide bid to make a rally for the show. ATLANTIC STORM was a little restless in the gate, saved ground while racing near the back around the first turn then steadily advanced from three wide down the backstretch and around the final turn, shifted inside in the upper stretch but flattened out. TRESILLIAN sprinted to a clear lead to midway through the final turn but floated out going into the stretch and was done. SEVEN DEVILS ROAD was hustled along to stalk the pace from three wide to the three furlong marker and gave way. PALMETTO STAR prompted the pace from the inside to the half mile marker then retreated.
