Chart notes
DIAMONDS JOY set the pace inside facing mild early pressure, kicked clear in upper stretch, was kept to the task and held safe. DESSERT FIRST advanced between runners at the rear early to pursue the leading pair from mid-pack off the inside in the three path and unencumbered by other foes, came out four then five wide for the stretch run with aim on the leader, gained steadily but slowly on that one however was only second best. TROUBLE WITH SUGAR was coaxed forward after an ever-so-slight bobble at the start, pressed the eventual winner, weakened in the stretch. REQUESTFORPROPOSAL chased from inside just off the rail, came out a bit further in upper stretch, outfinished a rival for the minor award but was never a threat. PRIZE DEBATE chased from outside, was mostly four to six wide throughout and produced no late threat. SALOMEINTHEHOOP switched out racing wide but inside a foe up the backstretch, dropped back when appearing a bit uncomfortable between runners into the turn, was not a factor and was not persevered with late.
