Chart notes
HIGHER FORCE broke out and bumped with a foe, tracked the pace, made a bid leaving the backstretch, vied in the four path on the turn, took the lead near the five-sixteenths pole, wandered about some while moving clear in upper stretch and drew away under steady urging. ESTHER'S SALAD chased the pace on the outside, raced in the five path for most of the turn then dropped to the four path, pursued the winner in the stretch and proved no match while clear for the place. GIANT AT WORK was hustled from the gate, stalked the pace, took the lead at the seven-sixteenths pole, vied in the three path while asked on the turn, lost the advantage to the winner near the five-sixteenths pole, dropped back in upper stretch and weakened while clear for the show. AWESOME ROBERTA lunged outward at the start then stumbled, moved up to press the pace on the outside of the leader, dropped back near the nine-sixteenths pole, shifted from the two path to the five path on the turn and came up empty. DEAR JOHN was bumped at the start, moved in at the rear inside the three-quarter pole, went three to four wide on the turn and was no factor. RYE ON THE ROCKS broke out then was hustled, angled in near the three-quarter pole, raced inside to the two path on the turn and faltered. AMELIA drifted in at the start, moved up to set the pace under pressure to her outside, lost the lead near the seven-sixteenths pole, dropped back along the rail on the turn and stopped.
