APPEAL DENIED was brushed between horses at the start, raced forwardly in the three path, pressed two wide around the turn, dueled with an inner rival in upper stretch, wrestled an advantage at the furlong grounds and held from an outer challenger. MESA SPIRIT bumped with an inner rival at the start, got briefly keen behind foes soon after, pursued from midpack along the inside, steadied behind a rival in to the turn, chased tipping out turning for home, took aim fanning four wide into the lane, sustained a bid through the late stages but was kept at bay. ATRAS brushed with an outer rival at the start, tracked two wide, moved between horses turning for home, then chased willingly and gained show late. INDIA INK broke through the gate pre-race, sped to the front and crossed over approaching the turn, led inside of an outer prompter around the turn, dueled gamely with that one through midstretch, but yielded late and missed show. PEPPER JACK saved ground well back, shifted out in midstretch and ran on between horses. PICO D'ORO broke a step slow, lacked speed in the four to six path into the turn, fanned to the six path into the lane and stayed on willingly. BANKROLL bumped with an outer rival at the start, raced forwardly along the inside, got keen as the leader crossed over leaving the half mile pole, tracked along the inside around the turn and gave way. TWIRLING ROSES raced off of the pace in the two path and tired between horses. PRINCE JAMES broke through the gate pre-race, then got briefly antsy after being reloaded, broke slowly when the gates sprung, trailed in the three path and made little impact. SAINT CHARLES brushed with rivals on both sides at the start, pursued from the five path and faded between horses. PREMIUM bobbled slightly and brushed with an inner rival at the start, stalked in the four path, gave way while moving wider nearing the lane and caved in hand thereafter.
