Chart notes
MONET'S MAGIC unhurried early while saving ground, continued inside into the far turn, made a good gain late in that bend and into the stretch, steered out from behind the leader, bothered slightly as that one drifted out inside the furlong marker, proved best. HEAVENVILLE got clear and crossed to the inside into the first turn, rated in the run up the backstretch, continued to hold the advantage into the stretch, drifted out in response to the winner's challenge in mid stretch, gave ground grudgingly to that one the final sixteenth, remained clear of the others. BIG MUCH moved out to prompt the runner up into the first turn, continued closest to that one the middle half, lacked a winning response in the stretch. FAST JOKER off a step slow, lacked speed inside, continued to save ground through the second turn, roused for the drive, displayed a mild amount of late interest, not enough for the show. AMOR PATRIAE forwardly placed while three wide early, moved inside, remained in a forward position along the rail through the second bend, had little left for the stretch run. CAPO LUCA carried out at the start to be away slowly, trailed much of the way and was never a threat. MONEYLINE broke out to also be away slowly, began a steady retreat after a half, finished well back in jogging in.
