Chart notes
QUEEN MAXIMA reserved in the opening stages on the inside, tipped two wide near the quarter pole, had to pause behind rivals entering the lane, angled out into the clear, flew late and overtook SOHO in the final strides. SOHO raced in range up the backstretch, followed the leader three then two wide around the bend, drew alongside at the sixteenth pole, took over late but got caught nearing the wire. MISS MANDALAY (GB) sped clear and held a comfortable lead up the backstretch, led along the rail through the turn, remained untested to midstretch, then took pressure from SOHO with a sixteenth remaining and yielded late. ANG N ASH settled off the rail, went two wide into the turn, moved out with a furlong remaining and missed third. SHIN JIDAI (GB) raced outside a rival or off the rail from off the pace, took the turn three wide and finished willingly to whittle the gap late. PRANCINGTHRUPARIS was closest in pursuit of the pacesetter two wide into the turn, ridden along around the bend, found the rail a quarter mile out and lacked a bid in the lane. LOVIN' ON THE RUN traveled near the back on the inside, steered to the two then three path on the turn, angled out at the top of the lane and lacked a rally. REPORT unhurried in the beginning, roused three to four wide on the turn, steered out in the drive and failed to threaten. RASCALITY very fractious in the gate, broke a hair slow and dropped back to last, saved ground around the bend and passed a weakening rival late. ASHLEY antsy in the gate, tracked from inside, hugged the rail to the stretch and weakened. This race was originally hand timed and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate time.
