Chart notes
SHADYSIDE was last to commence then urged along on the outside, chased in the three the four path on the turn, pursued the leader under a drive into the final furlong, gained into the final sixteenth and got up late to narrowly prevail. DELRAY showed speed and set the pace, vied inside on the turn, responded well under a drive in upper stretch, was put to a right-handed crop outside the eighth-pole, responded well when challenged in the final furlong, fought on gamely to the finish but was denied while just able to get the place. VEHEMENTE was hustled from the gate then urged along off the pace, chased inside for most of the turn then moved to the two path, pursued the pacesetter while remaining on her inside lead until outside the sixteenth-pole, made a bid while swapping to the proper lead at that juncture, battled on even terms with the runner-up late and just missed while clear for the show. BACKWATER broke near the back of the field, was urged along at the rear, traveled around the turn in the two path, turned into upper stretch under the crop and gained some ground but failed to impact. TAKE ME TO LONDYN chased the pace on the outside, vied in the two to three path on the turn, remained on her inside lead until near the furlong marker then swapped to the proper lead and tired.
