Chart notes
SKY CLOUD got away well and pressed or stalked the pace from the inside through the early stages, got an inside run into the stretch, responded to strong handling and held clear to the wire. RUN SMITTY RUN vied three wide for the early lead, bid for the lead after passing the three furlnog pole, loomed in upper stretch, lost some ground then found best stride late and was able to take the second spot in the final yards. UNUSUAL WIN came away well and was part of a trio contesting the early lead, took a short lead on the turn and into the lane, battled back gamely when challenged by SKY CLOUD in upper stretch then gave way grudgingly in the final furlong. HOLLYWOOD HERO raced three wide down the backstretch, saved some ground going two wide through the turn, finished well under intermittent urging and was making some steady gains late but ran out of time. DR VINNIE BOOMBATZ broke in and steadied at the start, tracked mid-pack well behind the three leaders, came under a drive from the five-sixteenths pole, finished willingly but was not good enough. DIXON TUFF off a bit slowly then settled mid-pack to the turn, made a mild bid on the turn while saving all the ground and was outfinished while one-paced to the wire. PRINCE OTTO had to steady to avoid some trouble to the inside at the break and was subsequently off a step slowly, pulled forward in the early stages with the rider doing best to temper the pace, did not respond when set down from the five-sixteenths marker, came four wide into the stretch and flattened. REIGN OVER ME was off awkwardly and raced well behind through the early stages, raced three to four wide down the backstretch and through the turn, then swung six to seven wide in the stretch and could not make an impact. BUBBA BAY was pinballed after the break, then bobbled and was slow into stride, dropped far behind early and never a factor. Copyright 2026 Equibase Company LLC. All Rights Reserved.
