CONFIDENCE BUILDER broke well then stalked four wide down the backstretch, advanced into contention at the three furlong marker four wide with the rider motionless in the saddle, easily took the lead at the top of the stretch under confident handling, was not asked until mid-stretch and had enough left to hold off a late bid from the runner-up. DISTINCTIVE DEB broke best but was quickly joined from the inside by HEY BARMAID, then stalked that rival to the turn, bid four wide at the top of the stretch and finished well under steady handling, was steadily narrowing the margin to the winner but came up short at the wire. HEY BARMAID broke well and made the lead after the break, fought back when challenged by CONFIDENCE BUIDER approaching the quarter pole and kept on well to the finish to hold third. DANSMETOTHENDOFLOV was a the rear of the tracking group through the early going then launched a four wide rally through the far turn, came six wide into the stretch and kept on down the lane but was not good enough. OCTANE (BRZ) saved ground while tracking mid-pack through the early stages, started to lose ground on the turn then came back on a bit under a stiff drive and finished evenly. MARY MARGARET broke outward a bit at the start and bumped with WEDDING CHAPEL, rushed up the rail to join the leaders heading into the turn, idled behind horses through the turn but lacked a response once clear. CARLA'S HONOR raced mid-pack down the backstretch, responded when put into a stiff drive with three furlongs to go then flattened out in the stretch. FLIPLIT dropped far back early, made a mild late run but had too much ground to make up. WEDDING CHAPEL lunged inward after the break and made mutual contact with MARY MARGARET, then bobbled while being steadied a few strides later, chased the field down the backstretch then dropped far behind on the turn and had nothing to offer late.
