Chart notes

MARDI GRAS EMPIRE was fractious in the starting gate, shifted out keenly and bumped an outer foe entering the first turn, tracked from midpack along the inside, paused while tipping to the two path turning for home, swung out to the six path in upper stretch, rallied to bid before inching clear in the final furlong, met an outer challenge late and held. DOGWOOD CROSSING saved ground off of the pace, shifted out to the seven path and between horses leaving upper stretch, rallied to offer a late bid but was denied. WAYSIDE DRIVE prompted along the inside, stalked down the backstretch, issued a rail bid in upper stretch, but got outkicked into the final furlong and held show late. GOLD THIEF was antsy in the gate, stalked in the four to three path, then between horses around the far turn, bid two wide and inside of the leader in upper stretch, but got outkicked and gave way. TENSAS CAMP ROAD was bumped by a inner rival entering the first turn, raced off of the pace in the six to four path and between rivals around that bend, took the far turn in the five to six path, pursued getting floated to the eight path in midstretch yet stayed on willingly. GEM OF A STORM was off awkwardly, trailed along the inside, moved out to the seven path in upper stretch, then wider into the final furlong and stayed on belatedly. A PASSIVE NOBODY lacked speed in the three path, launched a five wide advance down the backstretch, chased the leader from within striking range in the four path around the far turn, but faded between horses in upper stretch. BLONDATE showed the way in the three path and weakened between bidders in upper stretch. IWANNABEAMACHOMAN was bumped by an inner rival into an outer foe entering the first turn, pursued from midpack in the five to three path and among foes around that bend, then steadily faded. UNINSPIRED broke a step slow, pursued from midpack in the seven to five path around the first turn, chased in the four path and among foes around the far turn and failed to factor.
