Chart notes
IRON IN THE FIRE sprinted to a pressured lead down the backstretch then was headed near the quarter pole but dug in at the top of the stretch and drew clear. GREAT ESCAPE raced in the middle of the pack while saving ground through the final turn then split horses near the sixteenth pole for the late run to be second best. RISING EMPIRE pressed the pace from two wide down the backstretch before engaging the leader near the quarter pole and battled through the turn but couldn't match strides and weakened. READY TO PURRFORM raced near the back on the inside down the backstretch then angled out to three wide at the quarter pole to made a mild bid and improved his position. BRITE OUTLOOK was bumped going into the first turn then raced off the pace from two wide to the final turn but failed to menace. HYPERBOLIST raced near the back to the to the first turn then moved up but bumped with BRITE OUTLOOK and was shuffled back going into the first turn then remained back and was not a threat.
