Chart notes
TAP IRON FIST was allowed to settle around the first turn then steadily advanced down the backstretch while saving ground then slipped through into the stretch and made a rail bid to be up late. QUEEN OF THE MOON raced near the back to midway down the backstretch then moved between horses near the three furlong marker, tipped out to four wide around the turn and five wide in upper stretch made a late run while drifting in near the sixteenth pole and just missed. HOLIDAY DOUBLE rushed up to press the pace to the three furlong marker then took the lead near the quarter pole but was collared at the sixteenth pole and gave way grudgingly. BEULAH K was forwardly place around the first turn then fell back through the final turn but angled out to mid track for a late rally. COUSHATTA CUTIE raced off the pace around the first turn then saved ground through the final turn, angled out to three wide in upper stretch but had to check near the sixteenth pole and lost action to be outfinished. COSTA LADY raced in the middle of the pack through the final turn then angled out to six wide in upper stretch and showed late interest to improve position. GLORIOUS GEARS set the pace to the final turn then was overtaken near the quarter pole but kept on and ran into traffic in early stretch and dropped back. GIANT TUDE raced off the pace from four wide but ran into traffic near the eighth pole and shifted out to six wide but was empty. AURORA AUSTRALIS was off a step slow then stalked the pace from four wide to the final turn and made a mild bid into the final turn but gave way. DR. BOO was unhurried around the first turn then made a middle move but failed to sustain the bid and was not a threat. A JOCKEY OBJECTION WAS POSTED, THE JOCKEY OF COUSHATTA CUTIE CLAIMED FOUL AGAINST QUEEN OF THE MOON FOR INTERFERENCE NEAR THE SIXTEENTH POLE, AFTER A STEWARDS REVIEW THE CLAIM OF FOUL WAS ALLOWED AND QUEEN OF THE MOON WAS DISQUALIFIED FROM SECOND AND PLACED FIFTH.
