Chart notes
SWEN quickly went clear, was nicely rated towards the inside, was put to some coaxing past the five sixteenths, opened up and was under some right handed encouragement past mid stretch then held sway while steadily hand ridden the final seventy yards. WHISKEY OR WINE tracked inside, was under pressure pursuing leaving the far turn, advanced to the inside of rivals nearing the stretch, eased out and finished well to gain. FLAT CAP settled in the clear while saving some ground, lightly steadied near the far turn, angled out and chased three deep nearing the stretch but came up empty through the final furlong. DETERMINED FREEDOM stalked between horses into the backstretch, was put to pressure three wide nearing the far turn, failed to kick on and retreated from there. CLASS OF SIXTY TWO reared up a bit when fractious in the gate, hopped at the break and bumped with an outer rival, steadied soon after, lagged off the rail and failed to respond when put to a ride. WESTDAKOTA broke inward and bumped with CLASS OF SIXTY TWO, lost ground four wide the first turn, edged up three wide to have aim near the five eighths, was under a hearty ride pursuing past the three eighths, chased between runners nearing the lane then faltered.
