Chart notes
FAMOUS HIGHWAY bumped with ROMAN EAGLE leaving the starting gate, accelerated to the lead, set the pace along the rail, opened up in upper stretch and was hand ridden. HI PLAINS HUNK lacked speed, circled the turn four wide and rallied. ROMAN EAGLE bumped with the winner at the start, stayed along the inner rail and chased the pace in a willing effort. BAR HOPPIN BILLY , rank along the inner rail behind horses leaving the backstretch, swung outside in mid stretch and rallied. CLOUDY PAST , four deep entering the turn, chased the pace and weakened between horses. BETTER EDGE raced in the two path between horses on the turn, swung outside near the sixteenth pole and failed to menace. WITT'S RINGER chased the pace from the three path and gave way. CONSESSION broke alertly, raced between horses on the turn and gave way. ROCK ISLAND ROCKET trailed.
