Chart notes
BARON OF SEALAND bumped soundly with foes on both sides at the start then was taken up briefly in tight quarters, moved out then advanced to track the pace on the outside, chased in the four path on the turn, turned into the stretch in the five path, gained to get the lead coming to the eighth-pole, responded well in the final furlong and prevailed under strong urging. LEO'S REWARD stumbled at the start then bumped with a foe, moved up outside the three-quarter pole then chased the pace, went around the turn in the two path, was driven into the stretch in the four path, gained to make a bid near the furlong marker but was outfinished while just able to get the place. VITALIZE broke in and bumped with a foe, moved out under restraint early, advanced outside the three-quarter pole to contest the pace on the outside, vied in the two then three path on the turn, was asked for his best in upper stretch, battled under a drive into the final furlong and was out-kicked then just missed the place while narrowly able to get the show. D C BOY'S was bumped at the start, settled off the pace, was urged along in the two then three path on the turn, gained in the six path into upper stretch, chased outside in the drive, had the rider drop his right rein briefly late and just missed the show. VAN VOLLENHOVEN took a clear early lead, was challenged outside the three-quarter pole, contested the pace off the inside, dropped in late on the backstretch, vied inside of a foe while inside to the two path on the turn, battled under a drive in upper stretch and tired. FAST AMENDMENT bumped with a rival at the start, was ridden along at the rear, traveled around the turn in the three path, dropped to the two path near the quarter-pole and was no factor.
