Chart notes
SEIZE THE NIGHT in the second flight early three wide, angled in a bit and advanced on the tiring leader in the two path turning into the stretch, took over, shook clear then had enough to hold the runner up at bay late. QUALITY CHIC took back under a firm hold just after the break, remained unhurried for five furlongs, moved smartly to a forward position with a four wide move through the second turn, bothered and carried out by the tiring leader to lose momentum in upper stretch, regathered, angled in, late bid, not enough. FULL SCREEN outrun early, made a three wide gain inside the runner up second turn, stayed inside that one and the faltering early leader into the stretch, proved no match for the top two the final furlong, remained well clear of the others. RED ROUTE ONE last away, continued to lag well back, could still see all his rivals turning for home, tepid rally to improve position without ever posing a serious threat. UNLOAD closest to the leader while just off the inside, dropped to the rail when moving closer late in the final turn, had little left. FROSTED DEPARTURE broke on top, clear into the first turn, extended that advantage with a quick half mild split, continued to hold a sizable advantage after an equally rapid three quarters, began to weaken late in the turn, got out entering the stretch to bother the runner up, caved in the rest of the way the final furlong. LAUGHING BOY in mid pack off the inside, was finished after four furlongs, stopped and jogged in. HORACE MANN in the second flight early, gave way after five furlongs, continued to back up and also jogged in far back.
