GRAND PRAIRIE GAL sent to assume the early lead, was well handled while setting decent fractions through the backstretch run, showed the way into the second turn, was confronted into upper stretch and kept to task nearing the furlong marker, dug in under firm handling into the final sixteenth, was unyielding in deep stretch and determinedly lasted for the win in the final strides. TITUBA was forwardly placed while three wide into the first turn, tracked the decent pace while three deep along the backstretch run, mounted a three wide bid into the far turn, vied for the lead into upper stretch, made a steady gain on GRAND PRAIRIE GAL into the final sixteenth, could not get by the determined winner late and was a clear second. IN OPEN COURT prominent away from the start, ceded the early lead to GRAND PRAIRIE GAL and stalked the decent pace two wide into the first turn, was well placed while between rivals through the backstretch run, bid between rivals along the far turn, vied for the lead while in a bit tight into upper stretch, battled past the furlong grounds, weakened in the final sixteenth and was clear for third. CACTUS BLOSSOM took back off of the early pace, saved ground into the backstretch run, settled while not far back nearing the half-mile pole, chased three wide into the second turn, gained ground into the stretch, could not sustain that run into the late stages and faltered in the final sixteenth. BENT HALO crowded a bit at the start and away a step slowly, stalked the early pace while saving ground into the first turn, well placed through the backstretch run, lost position into the second turn and tired in the stretch.
