Chart notes
MY LUCKY ANGEL prompted the pace three wide, made a two wide bid to go on even terms for command by the quarter pole, dueled to the furlong marker and then slowly edged clear to prove best under a drive. MORODER set the pace from the inside, then was headed by the quarter pole, dug in gamely but was out-kicked in the final furlong while fighting on. OUT ON PAROLE chased the early pace on the outside, four to three path on the turn and then could not go with the top two while clearly besting the rest. TEN BUCKS A GLASS was reserved early on the inside and passed the tiring rivals. SPARTACUS'S DUDE chased the pace on the inside, fell back entering the turn and was two wide by the quarter pole, angled out in the lane and weakened. DIAMOND REO chased the early pace from between rivals, dropped back on the turn while three to four wide and tired.
