Chart notes
CONVERT trailed through the early stages, circled his field four wide through the far turn and into the stretch, drifted in repeatedly bumping AVAILABILITY through deep stretch and got up in time. AVAILABILITY allowed to settle, rallied three wide into the stretch, gained a narrow lead, was bumped by the winner repeatedly through the final stages causing his rider to check near the wire and finished clear for second. IT'S LAST CALL never far back, loomed boldly along the inside into the stretch then was outfinished. KLIMTSTER away alertly, set the pace until mid stretch then weakened. C S EXPRESS offered a mild bid three wide on the far turn then leveled off. INTO THE BLACK vied for the lead two wide then along the inside for nearly six furlongs then gave way. EAST BY WEST pressed the early pace two wide and was through after a half. GOLD ASPEN lost his footing, stumbled badly causing his rider to lose his irons at the start, pulled up on the first turn and was walked off. THE STEWARDS POSTED THE INQUIRY SIGN AND THE RIDER OF AVAILABILITY LODGED A CLAIM OF FOUL AGAINST THE RIDER OF CONVERT FOR INTERFERENCE THROUGH THE STRETCH. AFTER REVIEW THE STEWARDS DISUQLIFIED CONVERT AND PLACED HIM SECOND.
