Chart notes
MASAKADO never far back, rallied along the inside into the stretch, made the lead near the furlong marker and proved best under right handed urging. ANDY CANT with the second flight, loomed boldly three wide into the stretch, drew on near even terms for the lead near the eighth pole and was denied. VERBIER unhurried early, found his best stride late four wide. GUT INSTINCT away alertly, set the pace into the stretch then weakened. ROCKY'S EXPRESS was outrun. SECRET TROUBLE was no factor. DARK BARON pressed the pace two wide into the stretch then stopped.
