Chart notes
SPICE ICE reserved off the pace in the early going, rallied five wide on the turn to challenge in upper stretch, took command inside the eighth pole and drew clear convincingly. MIZZEN THE POINT tracked the leaders down the backside, reeled in the pacesetter on the turn to take the lead turning for home, could not match the winner down the lane and finished well to be clearly second best. BUCKEYE ROSE bobbled leaving the gate, quickly recovered to rush to the lead, set the pace under steady pressure to late on the turn, had no answer when challenged at the quarter pole and weakened through the stretch. DOMINIQUE'S NIGHT was the distant trailer early and steadily advanced passed tiring rivals coming home while posing no threat. MARGARITA CINCO showed speed from the inside to midway on the turn and steadily faded while tiring. OPIE'S GIRL pressed the pace from four wide down the backstretch and was through early.
