Chart notes
KOZY K stalked the pace from the inside to midway on the turn, rallied splitting rivals nearing the quarter pole, took command in upper stretch and drew away through the lane convincingly. DRILL'S BOY stumbled badly leaving the gate, quickly recovered to rush up behind SEEKING FREEDOM, checked off that one's heels shortly away from the gate to race at the rear of the field, maintained that position under patient handling to the top of the lane and rallied gamely to gain the place. FORT GRANDE reserved off the pace to the turn, rallied four wide to contention turning for home and finished evenly unable to sustain the bid. CARSON N SPENCE set the pace under mild pressure to midway on the turn, had no answer when challenged by the winner turning for home and weakened inside the eighth pole. SEEKING FREEDOM chased the leader prompting the early pace and faded turning for home.
