Chart notes
SOUNDBITE settled comfortably off the pace, moved closer with five furlongs to run, drafted behind foes in the two path on the turn, waited behind horses late on that bend then was shuffled back, squeezed through along the rail at the top of the stretch then was roused at the three-sixteenths pole, rallied along the rail, closed strongly to get the lead coming to the sixteenth-pole and drew clear under steady urging to prove much the best. YO LEVEN dropped back soon after the start while showing no speed, settled at the rear, moved closer near the five-eighths pole, made a bid in the four path midway through the turn, took the lead inside the five-sixteenths pole, moved clear in the three path into the stretch, remained clear into the final furlong but was collared by the winner nearing the sixteenth-pole and proved no match while clear for the place. SOLVE THE PUZZLE was hustled from the gate, showed speed then pressed the pace on the outside of two foes, vied in the three path on the turn, dropped back near the quarter-pole, came out to the five path into upper stretch and weakened while able to get the show. GOOD MISSION showed speed then set the pace under pressure to the outside, vied along the rail on the turn, lost the lead inside the five-sixteenths pole, dropped back in the two path into upper stretch and capitulated. PARK AVENUE BETTY showed speed then pressed the pace between horses, vied in the two path on the turn, dropped back in the three path into the stretch and faltered.
