Chart notes
RIVER THAMES stalked the pace four wide, took over near the quarter pole and drew off while ridden out. VANDERBILT was bumped between foes at the start, set the pace in the two path, could not match strides with the winner in upper stretch but kept on well to hold well clear of the rest. WHITE WHALE saved ground in range, could not keep pace with the top two in upper stretch and churned on for the show. SKATE AWAY broke in and bumped at the start, pressed the pace in the three path and weakened in the drive. TIGER TWENTY FOUR hesitated at the start, raced well back three wide and passed tiring rivals. COCKTAILSNKRINGLE saved ground and failed to menace. JACK'S PROMISE was outrun inside. LAYABOUT was reluctant to load, raced two wide and never factored. CULMINATE was bumped at the start, chased the pace five wide and had no response.
