EVERLYS GIRL was coaxed along on the outside, chased in the three path on the turn, gained to take a short lead in upper stretch, battled outside of two foes into the final furlong, disposed of those rivals near the sixteenth-pole and held under strong urging. VEGAS WEEKEND was well placed down the backstretch, dropped back along the rail and lost position into the turn, shifted to the three path with three furlongs to run, was driven into the stretch in the four path, gained in the final furlong and finished with late energy for the place. BAD CONNECTION broke very alertly, disputed the pace on the outside, vied in the two path on the turn, battled between horses under a drive into the final furlong, bumped with a foe outside the sixteenth-pole then steadied and weakened. LAUGHTER disputed the pace on the inside of a rival, vied along the rail on the turn, battled inside of two foes into the final furlong, bumped with a rival outside the sixteenth-pole and also weakened. CARBON stumbled at the start, was urged along at the rear, went around the turn in the four path, turned into the stretch in the five path and lacked the needed response. GHOSTLY GIRL broke open the front of the gate prior to the start, chased the pace down the backstretch, went around the turn in the two path and tired.
