Chart notes
THE KING CHEEK controlled the pace throughout, was put to urging in the stretch and remained clear under a drive. HOKU settled inside, awaited room after half a mile, angled out and rallied too late. GROUP TICKET stalked the pace three wide, bid into the stretch then went evenly. AZTEC rated off the leaders outside, was asked for run on the final turn then faded. ROAN MOUNTAIN trailed for half mile inside and lacked a solid rally. AMITY ROAD saved ground, moved wide into the stretch and faltered. RICH'S WAY dropped well behind wide and was never in contention. KICK STARTNESS raced in closest pursuit of the pacesetter for three quarters and stopped
