Chart notes
NITTI (IRE) broke a step slow, unhurried after traveling outside a rival, bid three deep on the far turn, took over in upper stretch and held gamely to the wire. MYSTERIOUS HUSBAND bumped with inner rival at the start, stalked two wide, got boxed in on the far turn, challenged in the lane but lacked the needed late kick. FINAL EDITION (IRE) trailed near the inside early, gained three then four wide around the second bend, challenged from outside in upper stretch and got edged for second. GOODFELLA (IRE) settled on the rail inside a rival off the pace, ran into traffic midway around the far turn, tipped three wide into the clear, altered in a bit upper stretch and launched a bid but could not find the needed late response. OVER THE OCEAN bumped leaving the gate, stalked keenly in hand on the inside, got boxed in then shuffled behind MY HERO on the far turn, shifted out to a clear path and lacked a rally. MIDNIGHT STRIKE stalked keenly in hand three deep then went up to fight for the lead from outside, continued to tug on the backstretch, inched ahead at the quarter pole, put inner rival away late on that bend while being confronted to the outside, gave up the lead in upper stretch and weakened in the late stages. MY HERO dueled from inside to the quarter pole, yielded shortly after and tired in the stretch run.
