Chart notes
KENNEBEC , three wide the first turn, circled the far turn four deep, closed determinedly outside horses and was up approaching the finish. WHAT A DUDE hugged the inner rail chasing the pace down the backstretch, bumped with GOLDEN ALE approaching the far turn, remained along the rail, bid for the lead in upper stretch and continued gamely. SALINE RIVER , four wide the first turn, advanced outside horses leaving the far tun, bid in upper stretch, failed to sustain the move and bore in approaching the wire. ST ANTHONY stalked the pace inside horses down the backstretch, was well placed in the two path on the far turn, leveled off and steadied behind SALINE RIVER approaching the finish. AMERICAN BLAZE , no factor, raced in the two path on the far turn. GOLDEN ALE made the early lead, stayed in the two path down the backstretch, bumped with WHAT A DUDE approaching the far turn, remained in contention to mid stretch then gave way. TENTH STREET DON , angled in early, stayed along the inner rail on the first turn, was wide the far turn and failed to be a factor. NEPTUNE'S STORM chased the early pace between horses and dropped back on the far turn.
