Chart notes
WALT WHITMAN (IRE) underwent a shoe repair prior to the race, raced off the pace five wide, surged through the lane and was up late. OURS FOR SURE bumped with SIR BANANA BRIAN at the start, raced in range four wide, steadily gained on the pacesetter, took the lead in deep stretch but was outkicked in the final yards. INSISTING dueled two wide, kicked clear in upper stretch and led until the final strides. ALPHA BLUE had his head turned at the start, raced off the pace two wide and rallied belatedly. GUAICAIPURO dueled inside and weakened in the lane. GUILDENSTERN (IRE) saved ground and failed to menace. DECISIVE PRIDE saved ground to no avail. MOHAY PLEASE played no factor while racing three wide. SIR BANANA BRIAN bumped at the start, prompted the pace three wide and tired in the lane.
