Chart notes
RB GRAND SLAM reserved early, became boxed in heading into the turn then responded when set down from the quarter pole, swung three wide into the stretch and ran on well, pulling well clear under steady handling and intermittent urging in the final sixteenth. DREAM SEQ broke a step slow but was still up with the early pace, moved to challenge UPTOWN WALK THE LINE near the five-sixteenths pole, found that foe resurgent turning into the stretch but kept to task under steady handling and wore that rival down in the final yards to gain the place. UPTOWN WALK THE LINE broke well and took the early initiative with several others pressing the issue, tried to slip away from the seven-sixteenths pole but was taken on by DREAM SEQ on the outside, fought back and took a short lead at the top of the stretch held on well to the furlong grounds, proved no match for the winner late and weakened in the final yards losing the place. TM PURNCESS lagged near the back of the compact field through the early stages, made a mild late run in the stretch but was too late. HONEY PROOF off a bit slow then rushed up to join the early pace scramble, vied from the inside to the turn, struggled to maintain position from the three furlong pole and was not a factor in the stretch. JAGMAN AA broke well but was unable to contest the early pace racing four wide down the backstretch, launched a mild bid on the turn, came four or five wide into the stretch, failed to change leads, lugged in to deep stretch and trailed the field home.
