Chart notes

LE GRIFFON sent to assume early command, showed the way into the first turn while between runners, carved out modest fractions through the backstretch run, battled to the second turn and led to the quarter pole, met the bid of MOTIVO into the stretch, dueled that game rival to the final sixteenth, was unyielding in deep stretch and held at the finish for a determined win. MOTIVO prominent in the early running, rated off of the modest pace and was well placed into the backstretch run, shifted three wide nearing the half-mile pole, bid three wide and between runners into the far turn, confronted LE GRIFFON into the stretch and dueled that rival to the furlong marker, battled gamely to the final sixteenth, was bested by the determined winner in deep stretch and was a clear second. FOOD BANK HELPER settled two to three wide and between rivals into the first turn, never far back through the backstretch run, made a steady gain into the second turn, got caught a bit in tight and encountered traffic nearing the quarter marker, needed more into the stretch drive, was able to close into the final sixteenth and was a clear third. ALL THE RAGE allowed to settle in the early stages, tracked the modest pace while widest through the backstretch run, mounted a five wide bid into the far turn, could not sustain that run into the stretch and weakened in the final furlong. BAHAMIAN NATIVE prominent while three wide into the first turn, advanced to prompt the moderate pace through the backstretch run, pressured the pace nearing the half-mile marker, battled between rivals into the second turn, was outrun to upper stretch and tired in the stretch drive. STREET VENDOR allowed to settle in the early stages, never far back while saving ground through the backstretch run, lost position into the second turn and did not threaten in the stretch. WORD FOR WORD forwardly placed early on, tracked the modest pace four wide nearing the half-mile pole, lost position into the second turn and faltered in the stretch drive.
