Chart notes
SHADOW DRAGON prompted the pace on the outside, took the lead near the seven-sixteenths pole, vied in the three then two path on the turn, shook off a foe under a drive into the final furlong, opened a clear advantage outside the sixteenth-pole and just held under strong urging. LAND D'ORO stumbled at the start but broke with the field, moved out early then stalked the pace, dropped in leaving the backstretch, moved from the three path to the two path very early on the turn, chased in the two path going around that bend, was driven into the stretch in the three path, pursued the winner on the outside, gained into the final sixteenth and just missed while clear for the place. DR. KRAFT was coaxed along off the pace, angled from the two path to the four path on the turn, gained into upper stretch, chased the top two in the drive and lacked the needed kick while able to get the show. MIGHTY ATLAS was hustled to the front then set the pace under pressure to his outside, lost the lead near the seven-sixteenths pole, vied inside on the turn, battled with the winner under a drive in upper stretch and weakened. JACKSON HEIGHTS was off slow and spotted the front a few lengths, angled in at the rear, moved from the rail to the two path on the turn, turned into the stretch in the three path and gained some but failed to impact. ROCK THE WEEKEND broke a step slow, settled towards the rear, was urged along in the three then four path on the turn, spun into the stretch in the five path and failed to threaten. BOSSMAKINBOSSMOVES broke in then was hustled, raced off the pace while coaxed along, dropped back leaving the backstretch, saved ground on the turn and lacked the needed response. AMEDEUS MUSIC broke a step slow, angled out early then stalked the pace on the outside, chased in the four then three path on the turn and came up empty.
