Chart notes
DOUGS MORNING PICK stalked the leaders down the backside, remained close up in striking position through the turn, ralied in upper stretch splitting rivals and finished well to be clear at the wire. BEAT THE DEALER unhurried early to be the trailer to the head of the lane and mounted a good belated rally to be gaining late. LUNCHATTHELIZARD prompted the pace to the turn, rallied on the bend from four wide to take the lead nearing the quarter pole, fought on through the lane gamely and was out-finished in deep stretch. PLAY BALL tracked the leaders to midway on the turn, made a five wide bid to threaten turning for home and hung through the lane unable to sustain the rally. HONOR THE D well placed just off the pacesetters into the turn, rallied between rivals from three wide on the turn to be prominent and flattened out in the stretch. KID RUSSELL set the pace down the backside briefly on a clear lead, was engaged midway on the turn by a rallying group of rivals and gave way coming home.
