Chart notes
MALIBU ROCKS raced up close in the three path, pressed from outside up the backstretch and far turn, kicked clear in upper stretch and held safely. EXCEL CALCULATOR trailed three then two wide around the first turn, continued at the back along the inside leaving the backstretch, shifted to the two path around the bend, moved out a bit at the top of the lane and closed well to best the rest. MAJESTIC PALISADES tossed his head and broke slow, settled inside, drew closer between on the backstretch, bid three deep on the far turn but faltered in the lane. GUAGUARERO showed the way early in the two path, took pressure up the backstretch and far turn, yielded in upper stretch and weakened. OSAGE CREEK raced up close from the rail but had to steady in tight quarters inside the leader on the clubhouse turn, chased the top pair from inside up the backstretch, raced a bit off the rail into the lane and weakened. BROADWAY UNIONS rounded the first turn in the two path giving chase, had to steady off heels past the three-quarter pole, went four wide into the second bend, angled down to the inside and faded.
