Chart notes
DIAMOND DEAL pressed the pace, forwardly placed throughout, took command around the final turn, pulled away and proved much the best. SAUCY GEM pressed the pace, raced close throughout, saved ground around the second turn, proved no match for the winner, but got up for second. BABY JANE raced in the middle of the field, made a late bid and was outfinished for second. QUEEN OF THE MOON raced near the back in the beginning, made a mild bid, but was no real factor. DOUBLE GEM went to the front, drove clear, saved ground around the final turn and faded. BEULAH K raced in the middle of the pack, came around the first turn on the outside and weakened. LA DEAL lacked early speed and was never close. MALLORY'S OCEAN void of early speed and showed little. HOLIDAY DOUBLE raced within contention, dropped back and was outrun. SUGAR CANE GAL always raced near the back, lost contact with the field and walked off.
