Chart notes
BERNIN HOT tracked the leaders to the far turn from the inside, continued to save ground on the bend cutting the corner turning for home and finished well along the rail to prevail in a determined drive. PATIENT CAPITAL reserved off the pace down the backstretch, rallied five wide circling the leaders on the bend to take the lead in upper stretch, drifted in slightly down the lane and battled with the winner to late in the lane when outkicked. SOUTH STREET unhurried in the early going, remained at the rear turning for home and mounted a good belated rally to be up for the show. COUNTEVERYBLESSING trailed for the first half mile, commenced a steady advance on the far turn to rally seven wide in the lane and kept grinding in the lane. TIER ONE was well placed tracking the leaders from between rivals to the final turn and lacked a response when called upon. DR JACK FLYER set a pressured pace for three-quarters, dug-in while tiring in upper stretch, drifted out, steadied off heels leaving the eighth pole and faded in deep stretch. MAGICAL MONARCH prompted the pace while being hard to hold resisting the rider down the backside and weakened coming home. SAMMY AND SHORTY pressed the pace to the head of the stretch and gave way down the lane. THE RIDER OF DR JACK FLYER CLAIMED FOUL AGAINST THE RUNNER-UP FOR INTERFERENCE IN THE STRETCH RUN, UPON REVIEW THE STEWARDS MADE NO CHANGE.
