Chart notes
COASTAL FOG was hustled from the break, secured the rail position then engaged in a spirited three-way battle for the early pace, went under a drive approaching the quarter pole, drifted on turning into the stretch then pulled clear from the rest and won clear. REGAL REDWOOD was sent from the break and vied between horses through rapid fractions, was carried out five wide into the stretch by the eventual winner and finished up well but could not match the winner late. PRINCE OTTO contested the early pace three wide, loomed a danger at the head of the stretch, kept on and did well to hold third. QUEBECK (ARG) raced at the back of the second flight while a dozen lengths or more off the early pace, launched a rally with three furlongs to run and while no threat to the top three, was gaining some ground in the end. MIDNIGHT KID chased well behind the pacesetters then was unable to summon the needed late rally. BUBBA BAY outrun from the start, settled in the second flight with a pair of rivals some distance behind the top three then hand little to offer in the stretch. RACE WAS ORIGINALLY CARDED AT SIX FURLONGS. This race had a timing discrepancy or malfunction and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate time.
