Chart notes
CLASSIC MOMENT showed the way along the inside, drew off handily in upper stretch and widened under mild urging in the final furlong. CAPTAIN COOL stalked along the inside, chased under a hard drive around the turn, dueled for place with an outer rival through the lane while no match for the leader and prevailed. LARRY THE POET stalked two wide, proved no match for the leader while dueling for place with an inner rival in upper stretch, battled for that position through the final furlong but was bested. GOD GUNS N GUTS broke slowly, trailed in the three path, swung out to the six path into the lane and failed to factor. OVER CALENDARED broke a step slow, pursued from the two path, then in the three to four path in upper stretch and tired.
