Chart notes
MOONSHINE JOE was restless in the gate, stalked the early pace, rallied four wide into the stretch, was forced in and bumped late by the runner up, dug in determinedly and proved best under left handed urging. P J'S BOY was bumped at the start, trailed the field down the backstretch, circled his field into the stretch, was struck once with a left handed crop at the top of the stretch, lugged in from the five path to the two path bumping the winner late despite corrective handling and was probably best. INDY'S HOPE hopped outward bumping P J'S BOY at the start, was allowed to settle the closed a gap late three wide. SKUNK APE away alertly, set the pace in the two path until deep stretch, was in tight nearing the sixteenth marker and weakened. LUCKY KATER chased the pace along the inside into the stretch then gave way. THE STEWARDS POSTED THE INQUIRY SIGN AND AFTER REVIEW UPHELD THE ORIGINAL ORDER OF FINISH.
